Roof Mounted Solar
Engineered for decades of performance
Certified panels and K2/Renusol mounting with full structural and load calculations. We use roof-type-specific fixings and watertight detailing for slate, tile, metal and flat roofs (ballast options), optimised for shading and maximum yield—built to withstand UK wind/snow zones for the long term.

Your solar solution
We only use certified PV modules (Aiko, Jinko, REC) and manufacturer-approved roof mounting (K2, Renusol). Every job includes full structural and load calculations and roof-type-specific fixings—so penetrations stay watertight and the system is compliant with UK wind/snow zones. We design tidy cable runs, add bird-proofing where needed, and commission monitoring so you can track performance from day one.
The Benefits
01
A complete, safety-first solar platform designed for decades of use, with UK wind/snow-zone compliance, corrosion-resistant fixings and neat, serviceable cable routes. We build for longevity as standard, including monitoring readiness and workmanship/warranty documentation to support future maintenance.
02
03
Every system is designed around your property: we assess pitch, orientation and shading, then choose the right stringing and inverter/optimiser strategy to maximise yield on complex roofs. We use roof-specific fixings, plan discreet cable routes, position inverters and isolators neatly, and balance generation, budget and aesthetics—sizing the system for today with headroom for batteries, EV charging and future expansion.
04
We handle everything end-to-end-site surveys, system design, groundwork, mounting, DC/AC wiring, protection, battery/inverter integration and full commissioning. You’ll get remote monitoring set-up, a comprehensive handover pack and optional aftercare, so the whole process is seamless from first visit to final switch-on.
Common questions
How much money could I save?
Savings depend on roof size, usage and export tariff. A typical 3–6 kW home system can cut bills by £300–£800+ per year, and batteries increase self-consumption for greater savings.
How much does it cost to install?
Most roof-mounted domestic systems land between £5,000–£10,000 for 3–6 kW. Add £3,000–£7,000 for a battery, depending on capacity. Ground-mounts cost more for civils, though our Solarport x-anchors reduce concrete and time on site.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually no – roof solar is permitted development. Exceptions include listed buildings, conservation areas, flat-roof height limits and some ground-mounts. We’ll confirm and handle any applications if required.
Do I have enough space?
Most homes need 6–12 panels (around 12–22 m²). South, SE or SW-facing roofs are ideal, but we design effective east/west arrays too. If the roof isn’t suitable, we can assess a ground-mounted option.
What if my house is in the shade?
We model shade and use optimisers/micro-inverters and smart stringing to protect output. We can split arrays across roof faces, adjust tilt, or consider a ground-mount positioned for full sun.
